I absolutely love London Fashion Weekend - it's like a London Fashion Week experience for the consumer. It's full of great discounts for designers that would otherwise be tricky to find, a fantastic show bag full of treats (including £20 of at Jaeger London in this one!) but, most of all, I love the catwalk show.
This season's show, covering the autumn-winter 2011 trends, was presented by Grace Woodward and styled by Miss Molly and had fve different segements. The first was the collection from Jaeger London. This collection featured some beautfil autumnal coloured pieces that felt like modern takes on classics and had a very British air to them:
The second collection was entitled "The Great British Autumn". I loved this collection, which, much like the Jaeger collection, featured lovely rich and warm autumnal colours and lots of layering. I kind of felt inspired to go on a country walk after watching the show (plus mega cute catwalk moment points when the model had to hold the bowler hat to her head to stop it from falling off - they're just like us mere mortals really!!):
The fifth and final collection was from another Brit designer - Osman. This collection had a wonderful use of bright colours. My absolute favourite piece from this had to be the burnt orange caped cloak outfit, which I felt had undertones of Diane Keaton in The Godfather (I watch that film for the outfits alone) but I also loved the pink striped dress piece as well:
